Manchester City’s Finnish International midfielder Tuomas Haapala, is included as a trialist in an unfamiliar Leicester City Reserves team to face Tottenham Reserves at Hinckley United’s ground tonight (7-00).

Haapala (26) formerly captain of Finnish champions MyPa-47, joins another trialist, striker James Walker of Charlton who makes his first home appearance after turning out against in the win over Fulham last week.

Scottish International goalkeeper Rab Douglas, back from a thigh injury, will use the game for match practice before Saturday’s Championship game against Reading when he will almost certainly be contesting the first team spot with current incumbent Paul Henderson.

Possible loan target Joe Hamill is also in the City line up together with prolific scorers Max Gradel and Louis Dodds.

Spurs will be greatly boosted by the return after long-term injury of the Premier Reserve League South’s leading scorer Lee Barnard.

Although having missed the last five matches, Barnard’s 18-goal tally for the season is still one ahead of Arsenal’s Arturo Lupoli.

City: Rab Douglas, Jay Smedley, Adam Wykes, Levi Porter, Scott Lycett, Connor Franklin, Max Gradel, Tuomas Haapala (trialist), James Walker (trialist), Louis Dodds, Joe Hamill.

Subs: Eric Odihambo, Conrad Logan, Joe Mattock, Andy King, Liam Norvall.
