Sven-Goran Eriksson is hoping to conclude his Premiership transfer business within days of the season closing, if he gets his way.

With a number of Premiership players on loan last season, Eriksson is obviously hoping to secure most of them on permanent deals come the summer, but he knows until the final match of the season has taken place, very few managers will be looking seriously at their squads for next season.

‘It’s very difficult for a Premier League club to take decisions before the season is over. When the last game is played I’m quite sure things will happen very quickly.’

Quotes from BBC Radio Leicester.

With Diomansy Kamara, Jeffrey Bruma, Ben Mee, Patrick van Aanholt, Kyle Naughton and Yakubu all on loan, Sven would obviously like to add them properly to our ranks, but he adds that if needs be he would consider season long loans if that was the best he could get.

  • I thought he was starting to win you round with his goalscoring exploits before his injury. Not going to be another Curtis Davies is he?

  • He was leading scorer or something at the beginning of the season wasn’t he. No I don’t mean before the opening game 🙂 From a distance he seemed to have quite a purple patch for you.

  • Heskey’s return has to happen some day! If Kieron Dyer managed to rejoin us at Ipswich, anything can happen! You could probably do with some younger blood up front though – looks like Waghorn will be clearing off and Darius and The Yak aren’t getting any younger…

  • They may not getting any younger, but I’m assuming from The Fear’s comments Heskey goalscoring ability wasn’t hampered this season by injury! It would be nice to see the ol boy back from a tradition perspective, but as you say Darren we have to be looking to the future and if players rarely show loyalty, I don’t see why clubs should.
