Leicester City midfielder Nolberto Solano looks set to follow Nigel Pearson to Hull.

The Yorkshire club confirmed that Solano will join the Tigers in training this week, as well as experienced midfielder James Harper.

Harper was initially in talks with Leicester prior to Pearson’s shock departure, but will now link up with Hull this week for a trial period.

Solano was signed by Pearson last season for the Foxes on an initial six-month deal, before being offered an extension last month after impressing.

Whilst most well-known as a midfielder Solano spent most of his time at right back for the Foxes, a position in which the 35-year-old impressed both manager and fans alike.

The former-Newcastle man has already admitted that he will retire at the end of this season, and looks set to link up with Pearson once again for his final swansong.

There’s no such place as Humberside, Hull is in the East Riding of Yorkshire, how would you like it if people kept referring to you as being from Soarside ?
