Snatched Away

Just as Leicester fans had started to think about the possibility of pushing for the Play offs, Barry Hayles stepped up minutes from the end of the game, to head the ball past a despairing Conrad Logan and give Plymouth a share of the points.

The game had started off as a quiet affair, before Hume opened the scoring on the half hour mark. Matty Fryatt seemed to be in an offside position but the referees assistant kept his flag down and Hume coolly slotted the ball past McCormick.

The Leicester celebrations only lasted for 90 seconds before a Leicester old boy in the form of Lilian Nalis scored from a half cleared corner to put the score at 1-1. This is how the game stayed until the 75th minute when Levi Porter scored his first goal for the team, to seemingly give Leicester the win before Hayles` late header.

If Leicester had won the game rather then drawn it, they would have only been one place higher in the table. However, it would have meant that they would have been 2 points off the Play Offs rather the 4 points.

Although it might seem optimistic for Leicester fans to be looking at the Play Offs it all seems to have stemmed from the news of Milan Mandaric`s potential investment. The fans are now looking upwards and are more positive due to the possibility of more money for transfers and pushing for the Play Offs if Mandaric is successful.

The next game for the Foxes is against second placed Preston and will be a stern test on how far Leicester have progressed over the last few months. Those fans that are starting to believe Leicester can push for a Play Off spot might be a little bit more convinced if Leicester can grab the win.
