Away day blues

The game against Preston on Saturday will be arguably the toughest Leicester have faced at home so far this season, it is however one that Leicester must win if they want to keep progressing up the Championship table.

So far this season Leicester have played 9 homes, winning 4, drawing 3 and losing 2. It is this home form that has seen them slowly pull away from the relegation zone and towards the top half of the table. If they want this climb to continue then they need to carry on picking up wins at home, as the foundations of any successful season are always based on a teams home record.

A prime example of this are Preston, who are still unbeaten at home this season. They have managed to win 7 of their 9 home games and have drawn the other two. This has pushed them up to 2nd in the Championship and only 3 points behind the leaders Cardiff.

If the Leicester team hold any ambitions to get themselves in the Play Offs then winning at home is a must. This is especially true when you look at Leicester`s away record so far this season.

Leicester have played 8 games this season, losing 3, drawing 4 and only winning one against Leeds. This poor away form means that home games are a must win for Leicester, until they can start picking up 3 points away from the Walkers Stadium.

Last Saturday Preston were held to a 0-0 draw by Southend and this means they will be looking to pick up all three points this week, to keep in touch with the leaders. Meanwhile, Leicester will be hoping that come Saturday they can once again rely on their home form to pick up points, whilst they continue to work on trying to win away.
