Preview: Blackpool vs Leicester

Championship play-off hopefuls Blackpool and Leicester meet tomorrow at Bloomfield Road, as City look to get back to winning ways.

Nigel Pearson’s Foxes are winless in five matches, but will head into tomorrow’s tie high in confidence after a commendable performance against table-toppers Newcastle at the weekend.

The clash sees the return of Blackpool manager Ian Holloway to face his former club, after a disastrous spell in charge led to the Foxes’ relegation from the Championship two seasons ago.

Blackpool go into the game with just one win on their last seven, but remain a place ahead of City in the table. A win for Pearson’s men would see the Foxes leapfrog their Lancashire rivals.

The last time the two sides met came at the Walkers Stadium early this season, Matty Fryatt’s brace handing the Foxes a 2-1 victory on the day.

Player to watch: Charlie Adam

Goal-scorer in the fixture at the Walkers Stadium, the Foxes already know of the former-Rangers man’s abilities on a football pitch.

With a superb eleven goals for the season already, Adam has emerged as one of the most important cogs in the Holloway works at Bloomfield Road.

Leicester City Team News:

Richie Wellens is suspended following his red card against Newcastle on Saturday.

On-loan Sunderland striker Martyn Waghorn is doubtful after picking up a knee injury in training, so Dany N’Guessan should get the nod.

Paul Gallagher has been passed fit after shrugging off an injury picked up in the same match, but striker Yann Kermorgant will definitely play no part through a hamstring strain.

Player to watch: Matty Fryatt

With goals distinctly lacking in recent times, Fryatt needs to step up to the plate once again if the Foxes are to stake any real claim at the play-offs this season.

After almost scoring a goal-of-the-season contender at the weekend the striker will be hungry to add to his tally of eleven league goals so far this campaign.
