Leicester look to keep their faint play-off hopes alive when travel sick Crystal Palace visit the Walkers tonight.

Palace have the Championship’s worst away record with just the one victory on the road all season, and Foxes chief Sven-Goran Eriksson knows his side must take full advantage.

The Swede masterminded City’s impressive drubbing of Burnley on Saturday, and will be confident that his side can produce the goods again when struggling Palace come to town.

Dougie Freedman’s side are once again facing a battle to avoid the drop, and currently sit just one point above the relegation zone – albeit with a five-point cushion.

Palace fans have gotten used to their team’s abysmal showings on the road, and will not fancy their chances again this time around against a strong Leicester side.

But if the weekend taught us anything, it’s that anything is possible. Scunthorpe’s 4-1 demolition of table-toppers QPR was enough to demonstrate just that.

Leicester head into the fixture looking to gain revenge for the opening day of the season, when Palace ran out 3-2 winners.

The Eagles raced into a 3-0 half-time lead, but second-half strikes from DJ Campbell and Andy King set up a tense finish at Selhurst Park.

Vital Quotes:

Leicester manager Sven-Goran Eriksson: “We still have a chance but, realistically, we have to win almost every game and there are regrets because my feeling has been for a long time that we should have had better results.

“We still have the chance and the important thing is that we go on as we did against Burnley on Saturday.

“That was one of our best games, especially in the second half. We played mature football and didn’t take any risks or concede stupid goals.”

Leicester Team News:

Leicester have Chelsea loanee Jefrrey Bruma after his suspension, but the centre-back is unlikely to ruffle first team matters for now.

Right-back Kyle Naughton could be back in contention following illness.

Player to watch: Diomansy Kamara

The Fulham striker has admitted he cannot wait to build on his excellent home debut, and will be desperate to get adorn himself to the Walkers crowd once again this evening.

Crystal Palace Team News:

Midfielder David Wright faces a late fitness test after sitting out the defeat to Ipswich on Saturday.

Swansea loanee Kemy Agustien is likely to deputise if Wright fails to make the clash.

Player to watch: James Vaughan

Foxes fans will be well aware of Vaughan’s abilities after a successful loan spell at the club last season.

With nine goals this term the Everton loanee is the Eagles’ top goal-scorer for the season, and will be keen to add to his tally at his former stomping ground.
