Nigel Pearson has said he’s reasonably confident ahead of the game against Birmingham but he knows we’ll be in for a tough test.
Speaking to lcfc.com ahead of the game, Pearson said he was pleased with the start we’d had, but he knows we have a long way to go and we have to earn the result again when we play this weekend.
‘The most important thing in terms of them is dealing with their shape. They caused us problems last year and I’m not going to divulge our team or shape, but it’s important to put on a more expansive performance than we did against Leeds. Ultimately it’s about us performing ourselves and I have a lot of belief in our players.’
Pearson admits that apart from Sean St. Ledger he has a full squad to choose from, but he was hopeful that Sean would return to outdoor training today, so whilst the Birmingham game comes too quickly he’s hopeful he won’t miss many more.
