David Nugent has said that confidence in the camp is very high ahead of the Birmingham game thanks to our season start.
Two wins from three has left everyone feeling good on the points front, and Nugent has admitted he was delighted to get off the mark himself in the Cup, but he’s even more confident that the team will continue to improve as the season progresses.
Speaking to lcfc.com he explained.
‘I’ll take that all season – playing badly and winning games. The performances are there currently, but we’re picking up three points and we don’t mind. I’m sure in the next couple of games we’ll find our feet and start scoring a few more goals and kill teams off.’
Nugent admits himself his form and fitness isn’t quite 100% yet, but he’s feeling better as the weeks go with training and he doesn’t think it’ll be too long before he really hits regular scoring form.
