Lincoln midfielder Dany N’Guessan’s proposed move to Leicester is still in the air after the two clubs continue to battle out a fee for the 22-year-old.

It was thought that a fee would be agreed for the player last week at a Football League meeting in Portugal, but chairman Lee Hoos has confirmed that no deal has yet been struck with Lincoln.

Hoos told the Leicester Mercury: ‘Everyone would prefer to have a deal struck rather than go through the courts, but it depends what the deal is. I won’t talk figures.’

Lincoln are thought to be holding out for around £400k for the player, but Leicester have fallen short of that figure. If no fee is agreed between the two clubs then it will be resolved via a tribunal, the scenario which both clubs have been attempting to avoid.

How far apart the two clubs are in their valuations is not yet clear, and it now appears as though a tribunal is on the horizon to settle matters.
