Hoos: We Can Equal Rams

Leicester City chief executive Lee Hoos has challenged the club’s fans to emulate the attendances success of East Midlands rivals Derby County.

Despite finishing in 18th position last season, the Rams managed to maintain an average attendance of over 29,000, putting them at the top of the Championship average attendances.

And the Foxes chief executive believes Leicester City fans can achieve the same.

Hoos’ words come just a day after the club announced increases to their matchday ticket prices, rising by either £2 or £4 per ticket depending on the match.

“I would really love us to emulate Derby. They have a reputation as the best supported club and that rankles with me.They have the same-sized stadium and had 29,000 in the ground every week and I would love to see our average capacity up there”.

Last season in League One Leicester average a home attendance of around 21,000, and chairman Milan Mandaric will certainly hope that the club can smash this figure next season.

The club have so far sold between 10-15,000 season tickets for Leicester’s season back in the Championship.
