Leicester Transfer Watch: Week Six

It’s been a little bit quiet on the transfer fron this week, with no incoming players appearing on the radar just yet. However, there could be one player heading for the exit to join another Championship club, but who is it?

June 5th: Ross Turnbull – Quite possibly just the same regurgitated rumour that appeared a few weeks ago, but one internet fans site seems to believe that Turnbull is a target for ourselves and Newcastle. With rumoured wages of £10k a week, it could be enough to lure the Middlesbrough goalkeeper to the Walkers. It’s more than likely to be a figure plucked out of thin air though being honest.

June 6th: Tom Cleverley – The Manchester United midfielder spent time on loan with the Foxes last season, and could be set for a return to the club. It’s understood that Leicester are keen to bring him back on loan for another season, but the club are awaiting the verdict from the United end to secure the switch.

June 7th: Joe Mattock – The biggest talk of the week is whether or not Leicester will sell the young left-back, with Ipswich keen on the England Under-21 international. The fee is rumoured to be in the region of £1.5m, as Roy Keane looks to build his squad for a playoff push. However, with rumoured interest from Everton and West Ham, Ipswich may have a fight on their hands.

June 9th: Dany N’Guessan – Will he or won’t he? The news that we had secured his services emerged a while back now, but since then the two clubs have struggled to agree a fee for the Lincoln midfielder to avoid a tribunal. Personal terms are allegedly agreed, with a ‘six-figure down payment plus appearance trigger and sell on clause believed to please all parties’ (Vital Lincoln).
