Radostin Kishishev is looking to put last seasons disappointment, both personally and professionally behind him and prove to new gaffer Nigel Pearson that he is capable of being part of his plans for our League One campaign.

After only four starts last season, having arrived under one of our previous gaffer Martin Allen the Bulgarian found himself banished to the reserves under Gary Megson and Ian Holloway, where he played regularly at Marston’s Stadium, the home of Hinckley, our pre-season opponents on Saturday.

Now given a fresh break under Pearson the 80 times capped star, now 34, is hoping that his experience of football in League One, gained during a loan spell with Leeds, will stand him in good stead for a chance at regular football this season as we battle to return to the Championship at the first attempt.

He is ready to roll his sleeves up and battle, and that is the kind of attitude we want and of course need.

He didn’t fo that well with Leeds last season. He was injured for most of his loan spell.

You dont gain 80 caps for your country without having something about you though. I hope that he is given a chance and can prove himself.
