Levi Porter is looking to put the disappointment of being out though injury and our relegation to League One behind him be forcing his way back into the Leicester first-team and helping us gain promotion back up to the Championship.

Due to his serious knee injury Porter, who made his debut as a 19-year-old and is now approaching 50 matches, had to sit and watch last time round as our season crumbled away, but with him now back from this he is looking to rebuild his career, starting with the weekends friendly with Hinckley.

Porter, now 21, is well known to his new gaffer, Nigel Pearson, from his time as part of the England U21 set-up as number two to Stuart Pearce, so he will not have to prove himself on that score, just proving he is now fully fit and up for the fight is what is needed and this weekend would be as good a place as any to start.

Good luck to the lad – at least he has time on his side as well even if this season does not go well for him.

Absolutely, but I’m sure it will do and we’ll see the best of him, at least I hope so.
