A 31st minute goal by Steve Hughes gave Leicester City their first win at Millwall since 1969/70 and almost certainly secured City’s status in the Championship for another season.

Rob Kelly’s remarkable run as Leicester’s manager continued with his third win in successive games.

It meant he has now collected 20 points from his nine League games in control with an extraordinary six wins, two draws and one defeat.

Those six wins compare with only five League wins in the whole of Craig Levein’s period of management this season.

It was Kelly’s fourth away win in five trips compared with Levein’s single victory.

It was also Leicester’s second clean sheet in the last 22 games.

Little surprise the Leicester fans were chanting ‘Super Rob’ and ‘There’s Only One Rob Kelly’ while Millwall fans were leaving the ground in despair as their side sank further into the relegation mire.
