Cardiff Vs Leicester

Due to both teams being knocked out in FA Cup replays the game between Leicester City and Cardiff City has been rescheduled for tomorrow (Saturday 27th January) rather then be played on Tuesday 30th January.

Leicester fans will be down beat due to the takeover deal with Milan Mandaric still not being complete and the whole saga turning the club into a laughing stock. The deal has not been helped by the fact that Mandaric has had to return home to tend to his sick mother. This has left some City fans wondering if the deal will ever be completed.

One way of cheering all City fans up would be for the Leicester players to put in a good performance against Cardiff and pick up all 3 points. This would help move City away from the relegation zone as well as give City fans something else to think about rather then the takeover.

Although the City fans are hoping for a win, it will be a difficult task for the players. The Cardiff team will be full of confidence after beating Wolves 2-1 last weekend and ending a run of 13 games without a win. With the home advantage the Cardiff players will be looking to build on the win and start to show the same kind of form that saw them towards the top of the table at the beginning of the season.

Vital Quotes:

Cardiff City Team News:

Unfortunately for Cardiff it looks as if Darren Purse will definitely miss the game against Leicester tomorrow. The Cardiff captain injured his back in the game against Wolves last week and Cardiff are unsure when he will be available for the game.

Kerrea Gilbert and Michael Chopra are also carrying slight injuries and both are doubtful for tomorrow`s game.

Player to watch: Michael Chopra

Chopra was one of the main reasons that Cardiff had such a good start to the season scoring 11 goals in his first 15 appearances. However, in the last 15 games Cardiff have only managed to score 8 goals and have only won 2 games.

It is important that City keep Cardiff quiet and the best way to do this will to make sure that Chopra is closely watched throughout the game, if he plays.

Leicester City Team News:

Darren Kenton, Andy Johnson and Elvis Hammond have all resumed training and could be included in the squad tomorrow. The only City player doubtful for the game is Danny Tiatto who is still struggling to shake on an injury.

Player to watch: Paul Henderson

Recently signed a new contract with the club and he need to continue his good form if City are going to stand any chance of winning tomorrow. Henderson has only managed to keep four clean sheets so far this season and if he could add another one tomorrow it would guarantee City at least a point.
