Nejc Pecnik could have made the move to Leicester, having held talks over possible move to the Walkers Stadium, but his head was turned by other factors.

QPR also held talks with the Slovenian striker, and offered him a good deal, but the chance to play alongside Patrik Berger at Slavia Prague proved the deciding factor for him as he has been quoted on Setanta Sports ‘It is no secret that I was in Leicester for a few days.
‘I talked with City about a transfer and later also went to London.
‘The offer from QPR was much better than this one from Sparta. But I am convinced I made the right choice.
‘Sparta put a lot of effort in to bring me to the club.
‘I was talking with them since last December and they were watching me in many games.
‘They want to be the best team in the Czech Republic again and have also bought Patrik Berger. It will be an honour to play with such an eminent player.’

Even though we might have missed out on the 21-year-old at least it is good to see a player is swayed by the lure of factors other than money!
