La Liga side Real Valladolid will visit the Walkers Stadium on Sunday 2nd August (3 p.m.) to face Leicester City in their final pre-season match of the summer.

The Spanish side, formerly maaged by Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez, finished 15th in La Liga last season for the second time in succession.

The Foxes enjoy a Spanish visit to the Walkers Stadium, as Valladolid follow in the footsteps of Atletico Bilbao, Barcelona and Real in pre-season’s gone by.

It had been thought that a ‘top 6 Premier League’ opposition had been lined up for the fixture, but now it appears as though the La Liga side have emereged as City’s final pre-season game of the summer.

11th July – Tamworth (A)

15th July – Hinckley United (A)

21st July – Mansfield Town (A)

25th July – Shrewsbury Town (A)

28th July – Chesterfield (A)

2nd August – Real Valladolid (H)
