The wrong man

Leicester will face Plymouth Argyle on Saturday and they will come up against the man who could have easily been Leicester`s manager if things had been a little different. Ian Holloway was put on gardening leave by QPR when it was reported that he was interested in the Leicester job.

Leicester seemed to go to every club in the division asking politely if we could speak to their manager, when all along Rob Kelly was keeping his head down and picking up wins.

Although Holloway is a lively character the idea of him becoming Leicester manager did not appeal to some Leicester fans. They appreciated what he had done at QPR but felt that he wasn`t a ‘Leicester` manager. In the end the club decided to stick with Kelly and Holloway found himself sitting at home on Saturday`s.

However, since Holloway has taken over at Plymouth he has made some shrewd signings and seems to have taken them from a mid table team, to one which is on the edge of the play offs. Plymouth currently find themselves in 7th position and are 4pts above Leicester.

Many Leicester fans may be expecting an easy game on Saturday and Leicester to pick up 3pts, but it may prove a difficult task. Plymouth finished above Leicester last season and although Leicester fans might consider Leicester to be the bigger club, Holloway and Plymouth will arrive at the Walkers with the confidence that they can take all 3pts back home with them.
