AFC Bournemouth’s on loan winger Max Gradel has returned to France following the death of his mother.

Gradel has been the star of the show on occasions for the Cherries since joining the club on loan from Leicester City.

Another stunning display came on Saturday when the tricky winger picked up a brace.

But the 19 year old has returned to France after learning that his mother had sadly died.

AFC Bournemouth manager Kevin Bond told afcb.co.uk…

‘Football pales into insignificance when a tragedy like this occurs. He’s only a young lad and this will come as a massive blow to him. You need to be surrounded by family and people you can lead on and support you at this sort of time. We understand his situation and will give him all the time he needs before he’s ready to put on a pair of football boots again.’

A facebook group for all supporters to show their support to Max has been set up, if you are a member of facebook then click here.
