Same Again?

Leicester fans will be hoping for a better performance from their team, when they play at home against Burnley tomorrow night (Tuesday 8th August 19:45 K.O).

The overall performance against Luton on Saturday has left some City fans pressing the panic button and some would see three points as a necessity.

Rob Kelly will probably give those players that under performed against Luton another chance, although he may introduce Patrick Kisnorbo back into the centre defence, as he has now served his ban from last season.

Although the game is a chance for the Leicester players to put in a better display, It will also see for the second game in a row Leicester face a manager who was heavily linked with taking over the managers job at City, half way through last season.

Steve Cotterill was among the favourites to take over at Leicester but the deal did not go through and Cotterill stayed at Burnley. During the summer he has made a few shrewd signings and with a 2-0 win in their opening game against QPR, some of the Burnley fans are quietly confident about the new season.

We spoke to the editor of Vital Burnley to see what they thought their chances were against Leicester.

What are your hopes for this season?
We always harbour playoff hopes and if we can keep the squad together for the full season, that would be the aim. We were 5th around Christmas last year, and to finish 17th was frustrating.

Who is your most important player?
Alan Mahon is our most important player; he has all the class of a Premiership player and will be the focal point for us this year.

What do you think score will be on Tuesday?
We did the double over you last year I think, 1-0 at each place, so a similar outcome I expect, a one goal win for the Clarets.

Dress it up how you like, the league table always tells the truth. You’re doomed.
