Leicester City have again been invited to the Hong Kong Soccer Sevens where our lads will be looking to successfully defend our title win from last season.

Last time round we beat the reigning Champions Newcastle United in the final and having lost to Newcastle in the group stages, it was a nice piece of revenge.

Having come through the group stages as runners up, we beat Aston Villa in the quarter finals and Sunderland in the semi’s.

This year’s competition will take place between May 23-25.

Speaking to lcfc.com Academy Director Jon Rudkin said.

‘It’s a terrific tournament to be involved in and we’re delighted to be coming back to defend the title in 2014. Winning the Cup last year was a fantastic achievement for the players involved. Having won the Shield the previous year, to go on and win the Main tournament in only our second appearances was a feat everyone at the Club was extremely proud of.’
