Manager Nigel Pearson was a happy man following today’s two one victory over Huddersfield and he believes we were more than worthy of all three points.

Following the disappointment against Doncaster, Leicester produced the perfect response to take the game and what proved to be our sixth successive win in all competitions at The King Power Stadium.

Leicester also remain well in touching distance of current league leaders Burnley.

Speaking to lcfc.com the manager said that Leicester were more than worthy winners on the day, and he was delighted to see us get back to winning ways and give the fans something to cheer again on home soil.

‘It was deserved, I think we played some really good football and created a lot of chances.’

Pearson adds that having thought about the game now, he feels the goal column could’ve been a lot higher for both teams with the chances that each side had in the game, but all he cares about is ending with the right result and we did that.

For Pearson the pleasing thing was again to see us play to our strengths, impose ourselves on the match and instead of worrying about what damage they could do us, we focused on the damage we could do them.

The game plan went perfectly, and the players did all that was asked of them and adapted well to the changes Huddersfield tried in order to get themselves back into the game and we coped well with the threat they posed from set pieces especially.

Hopefully, this will be the start of another good run again now and we can more than keep ourselves in the mix for the automatic promotions spots.
