Nigel Pearson has looked forward to this weekend’s game against Bournemouth and admitted he has a very ‘healthy respect’ for what Eddie Howe has achieved.

With Leicester sitting pretty in third place, newly promoted Bournemouth will also be more than pleased with their start to Championship life as they sit in 10th place in the division, so Pearson is sensible enough to know that we can’t treat them lightly or be expecting an easy game.

Speaking to lcfc.com ahead of the encounter, the gaffer admitted that whilst he’ll ‘respect’ them and what they are capable of doing in terms of causing us problems, he wants our seventh home win on the trot and that’s what we’ll be going out to achieve.

With Ritchie De Laet out injured still, the line up is likely the same as the game against Huddersfield.

‘We are as were last week. It’s more or less a clean bill of health. Ritchie will be ready when he’s ready, we’re pretty confident he’ll be back before too long and that will be another positive.’

As for the game itself, the manager adds that he feels it will be a very tricky fixture for us and he hasn’t been surprised with how Bournemouth have started life in this league.

‘We have a healthy respect for everybody we play. If you read too much into statistics then you’ll come unstuck. It’ll be tough, but I know if we get our game right then teams won’t enjoy playing against us.’

In a message to players and fans alike, he adds that Bournemouth are the exact sort of team that you underestimate to your own peril and anybody expecting them to roll over and die for us will most likely be in for a tough surprise.
