Nigel Pearson was appointed as the new Leicester manager on Friday, and within a few hours of his arrival he said that he felt at home with the club, telling the Leicester Mercury ‘I’ve spent only a few hours here, but I get a good feel about the people who work at the ground.’

He knows that he has a job on his hands as he arrives at the club with us languishing in the third tier of English football, so morale is low so before anything else he has to raise this, but that is his intention. He also said ‘I know I’m coming in at a time when everyone is at a low ebb, but I’ll try to get the club going.’

Pearson has been well backed by those connected with Southampton, with many surprised, if not disappointed that he was allowed to leave after keeping them in the Championship at our expense last season.

Scum reject? No they could not afford him. Milan may have pulled a master stroke.

Pearson isn’t the man I expected, but he is now here so he will get mine, and hopefully everyone else’s backing. He has shown he can win a relegation battle, now to see if he can do the same with a promotion bid.

I hope he doesn’t get too comfy. They have fitted a revolving door to the managers office!!
