With the news Milan Mandaric is almost certain to invest in Leicester it has led to the majority of Leicester fans talking about adding quality to the squad and keeping a core of good players, rather then who is going to be sold off when the January transfer window opens.

This is a stark contrast to the beginning of the season when several Leicester players were linked to Premiership clubs. One of those players that Leicester fans were worried about losing was the promising Matty Fryatt. It was rumoured during the summer that several Premiership clubs were interested in the young striker, even though he hadn`t played a full season in the Championship.

These worries seem ludicrous now when you consider Fryatt`s current form, he has played 14 games so far this season and only managed to score 2 goals.

A reason for Fryatt`s lack of goals could be because he has struggled to play in back to back games since coming back from an injury, which has led to him struggling for fitness. This was evident in last weeks game against Preston where he looked off the pace and always tried to do too much. It seemed as if Fryatt felt he had to prove something to the fans and players, when keeping it simple would have been the better option.

Although Fryatt has been poor so far this season he will be given time by the Leicester fans who have seen what he can do and how well he links up with Ian Hume. Last season Hume and Fryatt scored 10 goals in the last 16 games, when they were finally partnered together upfront.

The good news for Leicester fans is that with Fryatt currently struggling for form it is unlikely that he will attract any interest come the January transfer window. If this is the case Leicester fans will be happy to keep their promising striker and will continue to get behind him.
