Optimistic or pessimistic?

A new season is about to start and Leicester fans don`t know whether to be optimistic or pessimistic.

The last few seasons have seen the confidence of Leicester fans take a beating. Poor starts at the beginning of recent campaigns have lead to rescue acts being required to pull City away from the wrong end of the table.

Due to this you will not find many Leicester fans who are confident about going into the new season. The problem is that Leicester fans don`t know what to expect, they have seen their hopes raised before only for the team to lose in spectacular fashion on the opening day. An example of this was the 4-1 defeat to Sheffield United last season.

Under Rob Kelly`s guidance Leicester finished the last 16 games of last season in good form and fans will be hoping for a similar kind of start to this season. There maybe a lunatic few that think City can win the Championship, but most Leicester fans will be expecting another tough season for a small young squad and be happy with a top 10 finish.

Although it will seem strange to consider mid table in the Championship as a good season for city, fans have to realise that mid table stability might be the sign that the club is finally stopped its downward spiral and are finally putting down the foundations to start the climb back up into the Premiership.
