Midfielder Franck Moussa has signed a new deal which will keep him at the club until 2013.

The 21-year-old is currently out on loan at fellow Championship side Doncaster Rovers, where he has impressed in his short stay at the Keepmoat.

Manager Sven-Goran Eriksson was delighted to retain the services of the Belgian youth international, who only joined the club from Southend in the summer.

“We spoke this week and I am delighted that Franck has agreed to extend his contract with us. He is a talented, young player, with a bright future in the game ahead of him.

“Franck is a good all-round player and has the quality of being versatile, as he can occupy various positions.

“He is also doing well on loan at Doncaster Rovers, which is good news for his development.”

Moussa himself was also pleased with his decision to commit to the Foxes, and admits he can’t wait for what is in store at the Walkers Stadium.

“I’m extremely happy and looking forward to what the future holds for me.

“Playing regularly was the main idea of me going out on loan and things have worked out just fine over the last two months.

“My fitness is up, my confidence is up, I’ve put in some good performances and I’m happy to see that recognised by the manager at Leicester.

“It’s a great club to be at right now and I’m delighted I’ll be part of things for even longer. Hopefully when I come back from Doncaster it will be with more experience and more to offer.”
