Match Officials – Burnley v Leicester

|

Leicester City face Burnley in our next Premier League fixture and we now know who is in charge.

The game on Saturday April 14 at Turf Moor sees Martin Atkinson take charge as referee.

The assistant referee roles go to Stephen Child and Mick McDonough, with the fourth official named as Paul Tierney.

Atkinson has taken charge of 29 games so far this campaign, showing 103 yellow cards and five red cards and he was busiest in the Premier League tie between Manchester United and Burnley back on Boxing Day where he showed ten yellows across the 90 minutes.

In terms of Leicester this year, he oversaw games against West Ham United and Crystal Palace. In those two games he showed eight yellow cards and one red card. Four of those yellows were to us, as was the red card and we only took one point from those matches so we’ll be hoping for far better this weekend.

The aim between now and the end of the season is obviously a run on the Play Off spots and this game could be crucial to that hope given Burnley’s own position in the table.
