Jamie Vardy has been awarded the March Goal of the Month gong for his strike against West Bromwich Albion and cheeky football fans have already asked whether or not Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane has tried to claim it yet.
Jamie Vardy’s excellent volley in #lcfc's 4-1 victory over West Brom has won the Carling @PremierLeague Goal of the Month for March! 🔥👌

Vardy found the net with a sweet volley in the 4-1 victory over struggling West Brom and having opened the scoring on the day for us as we drew level in the game, he was joined on the scoresheet by Riyad Mahrez, Kelechi Iheanacho and Vicente Iborra to give us the comprehensive victory.
The 31-year-old England man was on a shortlist of eight but he won out in the vote against Bernardo Silva, Nemanja Matic, Marcus Rashford, Junior Stanislas, Ashley Barnes, Gabriel Jesus and team-mate Mahrez to lift the monthly award.

With Tottenham applying to the Premier League earlier in the week to see Kane awarded the second strike against Stoke City, quick thinking fans weren’t going to let that opportunity go.

Erm excuse me but I’m sure Harry Kane got the last touch on that

I think @HKane and @SpursOfficial should review the @JamieVardy7 goal because the replay will clearly show Harry Kane touched it last…..wait….no he didn’t.

A few were happy enough to simply credit Vardy for the quality of his effort.

He wasn’t the only winner for Leicester City either, Harvey Barnes saw himself up for Premier League 2 Player of the Month.
Well done, Harvey! 👊
