Leicester are understood to be lining up a move for free agent Amdy Faye, according to Sky Sports.

Faye is currently without a club after his contract at Stoke expired at the end of the season.

The 33-year-old struggled badly with injuries during his time at the Britannia Stadium following his switch from Charlton Athletic back in 2008.

Upon releasing Faye, Stoke manager Tony Pulis said: “He’s unfortunately had a lot of injuries this past year.

“But he played his part for us in our first season in the Premier. He’s one who won’t be remembered by the fans, but he played some smashing games for us.

“He also got his head down and worked hard behind the scenes to try and get himself fit.”

Faye would almost certainly be tempted with a move to the Walkers Stadium in his bid for first team football.

With both Premier League and international experience the midfielder would also be an attractive proposition for the Foxes, with new manager Paulo Sousa looking to mount a promotion bid this season.
