Leicester have been linked with a move for Bradford City defender Steve Williams, according to the Daily Mail.

Williams only signed his first professional contract last year with the Bantams following a modest spell in the lower leagues, but the 23-year-old is now the subject of reported interest from the Foxes.

East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest are also involved in early speculation surrounding the former barber.

The 6 ft 4 centre back has featured regularly for Bradford in League Two since signing for the club, and was rewarded with a three-year contract for his form for the club in June.

Leicester are expected to keep tabs on the player ahead of the January transfer window as Sven-Goran Eriksson looks to build a side capable of pushing for the play-offs this year.
