Leicester finished the pre-season programme with an impressive performance at Selhurst Park, returning back home with a 1-1 draw against Championship opponents Crystal Palace.

Julian Speroni was kept busy in the Palace goal as City started very brightly, with him having to deny Matty Fryatt and Steve Howard as others also went close before we took a deserving lead just after half an hours play when Matt Oakley scored. City had further chances before the break, but Palace did have some of there own with Nick Carle threatening but we remained ahead at half time.

We started the second half brightly once again with DJ Campbell, who had replaced Fryatt at half time, threatening before Paul Henderson preserved our lead with a fine save from Paul Ifil, but could do nothing to prevent Victor Moses equalising for Crystal Palace moments later.

Both sides had chances in the remaining minutes but neither could break through as we got another impressive 90 minutes under our belt ahead of the League One season which begins against MK Dons on Saturday.
