The future of Ian Holloway will be known on Monday when Milan Mandaric makes an announcement on his future, and although Holloway wants to stay on he realises that it is not just about him, it is about the club as a whole: ‘Milan’s been in America with his family but I’m going to see him on Monday,’ Holloway told BBC Sport. ‘The papers have been speculating about my future… but there’s bigger things at stake than Ian Holloway. It’s not about my future, it’s about Leicester.’

Although Holloway was unable to save the Foxes from relegation he has no regrets about leaving Plymouth, who were flying high in the Championship at the time, to take up the position and hopes that he will be able to stay, he added: ‘I left a team that was fourth in the table to come here but I still think I made the right decision. Leicester had problems and that’s why I got the job.

‘You’ve got to look at what happened and everybody takes responsibility for their part in it… but I’m absolutely devastated and I feel totally devastated for the fans.’

He is looking to the likes of Nottingham Forest as an example that it is possible to come back and hopes that he will be allowed the chance to do this: ‘Nottingham Forest went down, got rid of a load of trouble that they had, and they’ve come up this season with loads of optimism. We’ve got to do the same and I’m totally determined to do that.

‘Whether I’ll get the chance, who knows, but I’ve got a two-year contract left… so I shall be talking to the main man on Monday and see how we go.’

Will Ian Holloway be given the chance to bring Leicester up again or will Mandaric again wield his axe, as he is so renowned for doing?

Guess he certainly does now, has mandaric taken any of the blame for appointing duff managers ever, thought not.
