Milan Mandaric has told Leicester’s fringe players that they can leave in the January transfer window.

Today the Leicester chairman has spoken out, saying that players who are currently out of favour at the Walkers Stadium will be allowed to look for a new club when the transfer window opens next month.

Mandaric told BBC Radio Leicester: ‘It’s up to the manager to make the decision, of course.

‘But some players who aren’t participating, for whatever reason, would be a lot happier if they can go somewhere and play football.’

‘We have a big squad and we have a big budget for this division, so we’ll look at that as well.’

On a positive note, Mandaric did confirm that manager Nigel Pearson will have funds to spend in January.
