Foxes reject approach for Powell

Leicester have rejected Newcastle’s approach to speak to coach Chris Powell, according to Radio Leicester.

Alan Pardew had hoped to add Powell to his coaching staff at St. James’ Park following his recent arrival at the club, but his attempts to link up with Powell have been rebuffed by City.

The pair had previously worked together at Charlton Athletic when Powell was still a player.

But the Magpies have been told to look elsewhere, with the Foxes determined to keep hold of the man they believe to be an important part of the club.
