Factors suggest a score draw

With Leicester unbeaten in four games and Leeds unbeaten in seven, there is considerable argument for saying Saturday’s Championship meeting at the Walkers will end in a draw.

Indeed, Leeds last two away games have ended in draws although you have to go back to the 0-0 in 1977, a total of 17 games, to find the last League stalemate between the sides at Leicester.

Normally matches are quite free-scoring between the teams as well, the last six League and League Cup fixtures in Leicester having produced 21 goals including a 6-0 hammering by the Yorkshiremen in the League Cup in 2001, their worst ever Cup defeat.

Mostly though Leicester have fared quite well in front of their own fans in recent years, winning seven and losing three out of the last 10 League games.

Leicester have also scored 99 goals in home fixtures against Leeds so whoever scores their next will make a bit of history

Leeds, third in the Championship, have still not given up on catching Sheffield United to earn direct entry into the Premiership while City will welcome anything that lifts them further clear of the relegation places.

With Leicester’s home form being suspect – they have won only twice in six – and Leeds having won twice and drawn three times in their last six away our opinion is a 1-1 draw.
