Craig’s decision was tough, but the right one

Having been appointed joint Assistant Manager and First Team Coach on Tuesday Craig Shakespeare has given his first interview to lcfc.co.uk where he has said the decision to leave West Brom for Leicester was tough, but he feels it was the right one to make ‘It’s all happened fairly quickly but it’s been a hard decision. It’s been hard because of my respect and my high-regard for Tony as a manager and as a person.
‘The same goes for the person I’m joining here in Nigel Pearson, who has also taught me a lot. These are two guys that I hold in high esteem.
‘I’ve made this decision for the sake of my own career and hopefully it will turn out to be a good one.’

He is not the only one hoping that this move is the right one, but as with Nigel Pearson himself we must give them both time to prove that they (and Steve Walsh) are the right appointments, which I’m sure time will prove they are!
