Young Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley could return to the Walkers Stadium for a second loan period with the club next season.

Leicester chief scout Steve Walsh has said that Cleverley ‘may well get some more time’ with the Foxes, but his future will be determined by parent club United.

Cleverley had a successful loan period with the club in League One last season where he made 10 starts, scoring twice. However, his spell with the Foxes was cut short when injury ruled him out of the season.

And it now appears as though Nigel Pearson may well make a second swoop on the 21-year-old midfielder.

With Cleverley unlikely to be making appearances for Sir Alex Ferguson’s men anytime soon, a loan move back to Leicester seems the likely outcome, a return that the midfielder has already admitted himself would be welcomed with open arms.
