Leicester have allowed Jonny Hayes to join League One rivals Cheltenham on loan.

The 21-year-old had been on trial with Cheltenham, managed by former manager Martin Allen, and played in a reserve match that impressed him so he has brought him in on a one-month loan: ‘On his game and on his day he is certainly a dangerous player,’ Allen told the official Cheltenham website.

Hayes has only made 5 first-team appearances for Leicester since his signing from Reading in the summer of 2007.

Do you think that allowing Jonny Hayes to go out on loan is a good thing, and do you think that he has a long-term future with Leicester?
