With the rising influx of clubs selling out Milan Mandaric has felt the need to announce that his club aren’t for sale.

The Leicester chairman, who is closing in on a two-year anniversary at the club, has warned off would be interested parties that he’s not selling: ‘I haven’t had any phone calls yet but we’re not for sale anyway,’ Mandaric told BBC Radio Leicester.

Despite this announcement the Serbian has warned the fans that heavy losses should be expected so spending isn’t likely, adding: ‘We’re going to have huge losses because we have a big stadium, which is a tremendous asset when you’re in the Premier League but a liability when you’re in a lower division.’

Words of warning for over spending were also spoken by Mandaric, who went on to add: ‘Football is not a normal business, it’s an emotional business. While we all see who is spending money we need to run it as a business, but it is not.

‘As long as they’re proper people and as long as they love the game and they’re doing it for the good of the game, I see no problem.’

By saying the club isn’t for sell is Milan Mandaric really hinting that it is, or do you have faith in what he has said?
