Sven-Goran Eriksson has dismissed speculation linking Sol Bamba with a move away from the club.
Speaking to the Leicester Mercury the gaffer said that he had heard all of the rumours, especially the Marseille link, but that Leicester have had no contact from anybody about the player – and importantly he wouldn’t welcome any contact about the player.
‘Marseille have not contacted us at all, I don’t know what is behind that. We want to keep Bamba, we don’t want to sell him.’
With more signings expected and an already bloated playing staff, it would be expected that a number of players would be moving on at some point, but it makes no sense to me to move on those who could have a good future here with us.
