Bristol City are expecting another improved offer for striker Nicky Maynard are dismissing our last offer.

A source close to City told the Leicester Mercury that they were determined not to sell the player, especially to a league rival.

‘We do not want to lose Nicky, we have received three separate bids and each one has seen an improvement of about half a million on the amount to be paid up front. The third offer was substantial and worth £4.75m in total. That’s big money but the chairman is committed to delivering Premier League Football.’

Leicester are certainly putting the money where their mouths are in this transfer window, and it’ll be interesting to see how high we would go for Maynard.

Headline should read ‘Leicester expect to have fourth Maynard bid rejected’, then! Get the message, chaps.

lol do you really think you’ll resist the temptation if the bid goes into the region of £5.5 or higher? Big, big money that could do more good for you than keeping the player?

It doesn’t matter what I think, SA. I rate him at £5m and would’ve accepted the bid for him last week, if it was up to me! Not that he’s keen on going to Leics, or any other NPC club for that matter.
