Manager Claudio Ranieri has said that he was pleased with Leicester City’s defensive showing in today’s game against Everton.
Making the trip to Goodison Park and another in form striker in the shape of Romelu Lukaku, Leicester got off to the perfect start with Riyad Mahrez’s penalty just before the half hour mark, and despite the hosts drawing level, he added a second just after the hour mark from 12 yards as well.
With Shinji Okazaki adding a third, Everton made it a nervy end to the game with them making it a one goal game against on the stroke of full time but with greater chances on the day, despite the usual lack of possession, it was a deserved win all in.
Seeing the game out and their late pressure was what pleased the gaffer though.
