Manager Claudio Ranieri couldn’t have been more thrilled to have seen Leicester match and beat reigning Champions Chelsea in last night’s King Power fixture.
We all know the struggles Chelsea have had this season, but even so the names they can call upon, the experience both domestic and European and their clear individual quality – even if they can’t find a team performance between them – can’t be overly overlooked to downplay Leicester’s efforts and own qualities on the night.
They were just on the back of a good two nil victory over Porto.
So whilst many would warn it’s the not the Chelsea of last year or the last few years – well it’s not the Leicester of last year either and sitting proud and pretty in top spot in the Premier League table after sixteen games – two clear of Arsenal, three clear of Manchester City and six clear of Manchester United tells it’s own story.
As does the very deserved two one victory in front of the Sky cameras last night.
