Chief Executive Lee Hoos has announced that significant improvements will be made to the training ground over the summer to give Sven the very best facilities to aide our promotion push.

Speaking to thebluearmy.co.uk he explained that the existing pitches would be renovated as well as the main building at Belvoir Drive, and the club were also in discussions with the YMCA to use their pitches.

‘I’ve always said that the training ground was inadequate, fair play to the owners for investing in this to improve the facility.’

The work won’t be expansion, but will be more of a re-shaping of the facilities so they serve a better purpose.

The improvements won’t just be focused on the training ground and the club staff though, there are improvements played for the Walkers such as making the big screens permanent after their trial.

‘There are other things like possibly expanding the club shop, and the control and ticketing systems we are looking at. We are going to have a busy summer.’
