Manager Craig Shakespeare has said that he believes Leicester City’s time out in Austria this past week has certainly been productive and he again praised the attitude of the players for their approach to the work that has been done.

Speaking to lcfc.com after we took part in our final training session out in Velden before flying back to England today, Shakespeare said of our productive six day trip.

‘It`s been very pleasing, the players` attitude to training has been exemplary. We`ve got some good work done. That`s been the most enjoyable thing. We`ve had a few new players in in Harry Maguire and Vicente Iborra and they`ve settled in really well. So from a point of view of coaching and team morale, it has been excellent. It`s a glorious location and we`ve been getting up early for bike rides and then training twice a day but, all in all, I thought the application has been terrific.’

Speaking more about his delight at the players with the attitude they’ve shown and the effort they put in to take as much from the trip as possible, he went on to say.

‘I think it means a lot to any coaching member, whatever role you`ve got. That respect is a two-way thing. So far I`ve been really, really pleased with the way things have gone and the way they`ve reacted to things we have asked them to do. They`ve gone about it in the right manner so that is very pleasing.’
