Nigel Pearson has said that the play off semi final remains evenly poised even though Leicester go into the second leg a goal to the good.

Speaking to lcfc.com following the match, Pearson said he was pleased with our efforts on the night but obviously he would have liked us to take a few more of our chances to really put the pressure on Watford in the second leg.

‘It’s evenly poised, both sides will still feel they have a very good chance of progressing. I think the game was what you’d expect – tight.’

Pearson said he was pleased with how we started the game, but disappointed that we didn’t turn our early advantage into goals and it possibly frustrated the players a little as the game drew on.

‘I think we dealt with the occasion very well and it’s nice to go into the second game with a narrow advantage.’

Pearson also said he was delighted to see Nugent get back on the scoresheet, because with that extra confidence he knows Nugent is more than capable of going on a run of games with a run of goals.
