New right back Lee Peltier has said that a debut in a friendly against Real Madrid is a hell of a way to introduce himself to the club.

Speaking to lcfc.com as he put pen to paper on a 3 year contract following his move from Huddersfield Town, Peltier said that to face Real Madrid and potentially line up against Ronaldo would be a dream start to his life at the Walkers.

‘I think I will be marking someone called Ronaldo in my home debut so it doesn’t get much better! It’s going to be a great day for the Club and great for the fans.’

The debut against Real Madrid is a phenomenal step up for the 24 year old who says he wanted to consistently test himself at a higher level.

‘I wanted to test myself at a higher level, but I think, against them, I am testing myself at the very highest level.’
