It’s the big one in League One tomorrow as top of the table Leicester travel to 2nd placed Peterborough, in what will prove to be a hotly contested promotion battole at London Road.

Leicester trounced their opponents 4-0 at the Walkers earlier in the season, but tomorrow’s match should see a much closer game.

London Road is completely sold out tomorrow, meaning over 14,000 fans will be packed in to witness the clash which could have huge bearings on promotion from League One this season.

Vital Quotes:

Peterborough manager Darren ferguson: ‘Although it is obviously top v second, we are just treating it as any other game, there is only three points at stake, however important they are. We are still hurting after the defeat at their place earlier in the season and I have no doubt we will put a better showing on this time around and give them a much closer match’.

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson: ‘They’re a very good team, they’re where they are in the league on merit, as we are.

I fully expect it to be a tough game and we’ve again got to be at our best to get something out of the game.

But we’re going there to win it like we do with every game.’

Peterborough United Team News:

Gabriel Zakuani returns for Darren Ferguson’s men, meaning Chris Westwood will be likely to drop to the bench.

Lee Frecklington and Jamie Day are both set to sit out the match through injury.

Player to watch: Craig Mackail-Smith

Feared by League One opponents all season, and on good merit. The striker has been in lethal form this season alongside Aaron Maclean, and Jack Hobbs and co. will be have to be sharp to keep the pair under wraps.

Leicester City Team News:

Nigel Pearson will be without the suspended Steve Howard as he sits out the second of his two match ban.

Andy King is away on international duty with Wales U-21’s and will also miss the clash.

Tom Cleverley returned to Manchester United this week following the dislocated shoulder suffered at home to Colchester last weekend.

Player to watch: Matty Fryatt

Seems to struggle without Howard, but he must take his chances when he gets them tomorrow. 28 goals all season has seen the striker take the plaudits this season, and Leicester will be hoping for more of the same for tomorrow.

Match Facts & Stats

It will be the first time that Andy King has not featured on Nigel Pearson’s team sheet this season as the midfielder prepares for international duty with Wales Under-21’s.
